t” This is not even close to an easy to use point and shoot. The camera can take great pictures but you are going to have to dig into the manual and read away to find out how in many conditions. This camera has most of the settings available to a high end DSLR minus the removable lens. If you know what you are doing and just need a good backup camera or you want to learn more at half the price of a more “pro” DSLR this would probably fit the bill. … FujiFilm camera S9100 video test outflow …

Oh — The flash works great to evenly illuminate people and scenes, so use it indoors. It takes stellar images outside on ISO 80. It’s a feature-rich camera for those who like to tweak and think their shots through. Once you get to know it well, it becomes more of a point-and-shoot for you; you just must learn its strengths and weaknesses.
You’re right in your assessment that this is not a point-and-shoot camera. I am used to the more complicated functions of a prosumer digicam from having my Minolta A1. The Fuji was the closest I could come to that functionality without springing for a DSLR. My main advice is, don’t use the auto or “anti-shake” in low-light unless you’re willing to settle for A LOT of noise and poor image quality.
pretty cool
